Street work underway in La Crosse

Portions of two streets in La Crosse are closed on Thursday for utility work.

Another road is closing for a bit longer also for some utility work.

The city’s Water Utility is working on State Street between 16th and 17th Street South as well as Madison Street between 17th and 19th Streets today.

The portions of those streets are closed as crews do their work.

In both cases, they are expected to finish later on Thursday.

La Crosse’s Park and Rec Department said that Pettibone Drive North within Pettibone Park, is closed until further notice starting Thursday for utility work. The release said that the west entrance is still open to access the parking lot and beach area.
