A La Crosse judge finds probable cause to continue the case against a La Crosse woman charged with child neglect where she’s accused of exposing young kids to alcohol and drugs in a home.

Savannah Myers pleaded not guilty to the neglect charge.

She’s scheduled to have another hearing on June 18.

In court on Thursday, La Crosse Police Officer Alex Burg testified that the children, ages 3 and 5, were exposed to cocaine and alcohol in the house while Myers was there.

The prosecution says while the children were not harmed, Myers is still suspected of being negligent in shielding the kids from those substances.

In one incident, Myers reportedly was using cocaine while a child was sitting on her lap.

Myers also is awaiting trial on a vehicular homicide charge, for a crash that killed an adult passenger during a drunk-driving crash in Onalaska two years ago.
