More work on La Crosse County roads

Expect to see a few more road closed signs on several La Crosse County highways over the next week.

The La Crosse County Highway Department is replacing culverts on four county roads between Wednesday, April 9 and Tuesday, April 15.

Each of the projects is scheduled to last one day.

On Wednesday, April 9, County M east of Hwy. 14 and Valley View Road is closed between 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On the 10th, crews are replacing a culvert on County PI about 60 feet south of the entrance to Norskedalen. Work lasts from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The following week, on Monday, April 14, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., crews are working on County B south of I-90, west of Prairie Road.

Lastly, also between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., work is planned for replacing a culvert on County B east of Linse Road and west of Dovenberg Road.

This is in addition to two other projects. The first is the south end of County XX by the intersection with County OT is closed for reconstruction.

The other, and largest project, done by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, is a stretch of Highway 16 between La Crosse Street and Kinney Coulee Road. This project, which includes bridge work and resurfacing, according to the DOT, is expected to last until late summer.
