The La Crescent School Board announces its three finalists for its Superintendent position.

The board cut the number of candidates in half after a first round of interviews on Friday and Monday.

Two of the finalists are local and one from Wyoming. They are:

Wally Gnewikow, the current principal at Logan High School in La Crosse.

Brandon Munson, District Administrator for the North Crawford School District in Soldiers Grove.

Jeremy Hill, principal at Willow Creek Elementary in Riverton, Wyoming.

A second round of interviews happens on Monday, April 14 with the candidates and the board.

A release from the district said that once the interviews are complete, the Board of Education anticipates naming a candidate.

The person selected would take over in June when the current Superintendent, Mindy Crowley, steps down.
