The La Crescent-Hokah School Board found its new superintendent just across the river.

Logan High School Principal Wally Gnewikow accepted the position for the district.

He was one of two finalists interviewed on Monday by the board, who met afterwards and chose Gnewikow.

A statement from the district said they’re in the process of finalizing a contract with Gnewikow.

Plans call for him to take over as superintendent in June following the departure of current superintendent Mindy Crowley.
