The city of La Crosse is looking at ways to use special government grants to help people have decent housing during the COVID outbreak.
More than half-a-million dollars in block grant money is coming to the city, and the community development committee is discussing options involving housing.
Community Development administrator Caroline Gregerson says the homeless or those living in shelters could benefit from the funding, with money helping get them into homes, or preventing them from losing their housing.
